Sousaphones and Conn 24J
Hello! I am about to be moving in August so it is time to get rid of a lot of my instruments! I am located in South Georgia and willing to travel some to meet to avoid shipping, but I will ship at the buyers expense. Everything has been chem cleaned recently. All pictures are in the link below. If ...

Re: Conn 3J For Sale
I'm pretty sure this is a smaller/older 2J not a 3J the valve caps and buttons look like the older 2Js and the 3Js had 2 fourth valve slides with one facing upwards where this has the one downward facing one like a 2J. This shouldn't affect anything just an observation.

WTB: King Sousaphone Bits
I am looking for some used King Sousaphone bits, I’d prefer them to be satin silver but that’s not a necessity.

WTB Conn 3J
Hello, I’m just seeing if anyone has a Conn 3J they’d be willing to sell? I’ve played both a 2J and 3J and prefer the 3J, but if I can’t find one I would settle for a 2J. I’m looking for a horn in a little better condition then the 2J that is at Baltimore Brass at the moment.

Re: Ventura CL: Miraphone 289?
Sorry! I forgot to update this thread about it, but the seller must've decided they didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping it, because the day they were supposed to get a shipping estimate for me they stopped responding. So I am assuming they found someone local who ended up buying it. I ...

Re: Detachable Bells and a Bell Stack
Hey! I've been trying to track down the opposite! I need a few parts from a king valve set(valves, caps, stems, buttons, outermost top 3rd valve slide, etc.) so if you end up finding 124X with a valve set with most parts(doesn't need to be complete) Let me know and I can take it off your hands!

Re: Ventura CL: Miraphone 289?
I am in the process of getting this horn to fix it up. I'm going to see how good the bell will fix up and then might put a new one on depending on cost. But, I am in a position that I can take pictures of it next to a Miraphone 186, Miraphone 191, and a 496 Hagen, and will do so and post either here ...

Burnt Microfiber Help
In the shop I help out in sometimes, while I was taking dents out of one part of a sousaphone, someone else was removing a slide crook from the valve section and when he got it off it fell onto a microfiber cloth and burnt some of the microfiber off onto the crook. The "head-repairman" there is ...

King 1250 Sousaphone Parts
Hello! I have recently bought a 1945 silver King 1250 Sousaphone that is in shambles. The plan is to fix it up as close to original as it can be done. At the moment it is missing valves 2&3, all top caps and buttons, one of the bottom caps is a newer lacquered one so I'd like to replace it with a ...

Re: King 1250
Also, I don't mind getting some parts in lacquer or raw brass and then sending them off to be plated, but the neck I have will already need to be silver plated, and I'd rather not spend a whole lot on shipping things off and having them all plated. I also need a pair of bits(preferably the older ...

Eb Sousaphones
Hello! I am in the market for a four valve Eb sousaphone, but I haven't had the opportunity to play any. I do know I really like the old king BBb 1250 sousas a lot, the newer 2350s played well but were uncomfortable to me. and I'm not the biggest fan of how the Conn 14k and 20ks fit, but I do like ...

Re: The quest to find a 5/4 version of a 188
So I have had a B&S MRP for a few weeks now and I’ll have to say that bloke was right! It’s the only horn I’ve found that really feels like a larger 188. It’s not quite as comfortable to hold but no horn that’s any bigger is really going to be. But the intonation is spot on and it’s VERY easy to play ...
