Re: It has begun...
Trade deficits are not the same as tariffs, and trade deficits are what was used to define the new US tariff rates. For example, we buy much more from Madagascar than they buy from us, primarily nickel, coffee, and spices. Based on the trade deficit, the new US tariff rate was determined to be 47 ...

Tilz makes mouthpiece adapters that might work with the Alex leadpipe.

Re: B&S models 105 & 106...
Thanks, guys! The 105 sure looks like a 103 with a possibly-bigger bell and bell krantz. I can't find catalogs on TheBerlinerTuba forum but - boy! - I am lucky I made it outta that rabbit hole alive! It's loaded with good stuff! There's just the one page in the posting (shown below). Can't really ...

Re: B&S models 105 & 106...
No personal experience, but there are three Japan-based ads up on LeBay that seem to be for the same Weltklang stencil 105. The seller's given a fair description of the horn in the ad, so they might be willing to answer questions. Given there are three ads it might not be legit, though I notice the ...

Re: York 716 Recording Bass
From the text in the item description and the list of other items for sale, it appears someone is retiring and is doing a purge of random things in their personal possession. Caveat emptor always applies on internet sales, but this looks fairly normal. Regarding the multiple listings, no idea, but I ...

Re: Oshkosh, WI (FB): maybe a monster Eb? Any idea? $500
Looks like a King. I couldn't find any pictures of a monster Eb with the loop in the leadpipe like that save for the bell-front Symphony model (1235). More here.

Re: Jim Self's Old #1
Fixed bell, loop in the leadpipe. I think they stopped making those during/after WW2. I had one for several years (SN put mfg date at 1927), good horns.

It would be good to hear any reviews of the Lidls. I’ve heard a few folks say good things, just looking for more data points.

Depending on the actual bell size, this looks like the kind of donor horn Sam Gnagey uses to make his CCs.
