@humBell -- trade expectations have tripled. But actually, I'm probably more interested in $ than trades now. But I'll listen to anything!

Now $675
Lost my job about 2 months ago, so this MUST go.
Probably won't drop the price it again. But it really has to go.

Nice tuba.
I miss old 1291... I honestly think that on paper and in photos, it's pretty unexciting. But that tuba put out more sound with less effort than almost any other tuba I've owned. Great valves, too.

1975 and plastic ball seems right to me. I agree about the leather guard, but given the condition of the rest of the tuba, I'd be willing to bet it's just fine. We'll (try to) see!

Re: Mouthpiece for Rudy 3/4 CC
I used a Rudy Meinl 1 (RM1 -- not the RM1-dot) on it, and it was magical. The combo was so good, I gave the mouthpiece to Sam when I returned the tuba to him, because I couldn't stand to think the two were separated. Before Sam sold the Rudy, he sent the RM 1 back to me. I can't remember if I still ...

Re: Pronouncing Geib's name
10-second German lesson... pronounce only the second vowel:
ie --> e
ei --> i
(And there are probably exceptions)
I was taught to remember it by the phrase:
Eisenhower's niece
Which is ridiculous, because "niece" isn't a German word.

Zoom in and they are all distinctly visible. :laugh: Now that... THAT is funny. You'd better be careful about being funny. You're going to get called out for trolling, and accused of running off all of the titled people within academia. :smilie8: Also, we're not supposed to crack jokes about ...

Re: Tuba and Parkinson’s
My initial thought -- and I mean this with full respect and compassion -- is that you need to front-load a lot of your playing now, while things are "better." Unfortunately, it's a degenerative disease, and although the speed of degradation varies, it still only goes in one direction. Jeez, this all ...
