Who made R&S mouthpieces?

Post by greenbean »

A question for the TF hive mind: Who makes (or made) R&S mouthpieces?

I think I read that Roger Lewis was (is) the tuba specialist at Brasswind?... Or somewhere else...

Is he still active?

Roger is still active and is a clinician with Miraphone. I believe he is also working at American Way Marketing which wholesales to the industry.

Roger Lewis was behind the R&S line. I recall the S was his wife's initial. I also recall them being made by Jet Tone, although a post on the old site indicated he quit making them when Musician's Friend took over WWBW, so WWBW may have been a sponsoring agency.

Also, for what it's worth, the soup-can profile is being used by Tony Clements.
