First off, I am not trying to be a jerk... However, with what just happened over on the J.S. Bach on big tuba thread, I thought that it would be good to hear from the administrators as well as what the tuba forum members think about this topic
Why do we lock threads? Off topic? Dissenting opinions? Inappropriate/disrespectful comments?

Re: Locking Threads
"Censorship" is a hot topic these days, on a host of different issues on various platforms. Setting clearly defined boundaries or left and right limits seems to be an art in and of itself.
"Civility" and "Respect" are worthy goals that will benefit not only this forum, but our society as a whole. Open, and honest discourse can be enlightening, however never at the expense of the "person."
