This is the Miss. River cruises boarding hours lounge jazz band “posing” as a polka band for a high-rollers Oktoberfest-"themed" party.
(I'm thinking they gave away a trip down the Rhine, or something...??)
It’s a 5/4 Rudy Meinl C w/available factory bells & whistles (5th valve, 2nd slide trigger), plus a couple of bloke-added ones (interchangeable mouthpipes, etc.)
It has since been re-homed.

What are you going to polish?
Why’d you let it get dull?
If it’s tourist season, why can’t we shoot them?

Re: for Bill: Horseshoe Casino - Tunica, MS - 2014
Here's what I posted about this - just now - when I shared it on tuba/euphonium (fb)...
A friend (who I believe also is a subscriber to this page) posted a snippet from a "blast-from-the-past" casino gig that we did.
When I saw it, it made me laugh, because it reminded me of the Andy Griffith Show episode where the Mayberry Town Band (which wasn't up the Mayor of Mayberry's standards) was (unbeknownst to the Mayor) temporarily bolstered by a band of jazz musicians that was passing through town, so they would meet the mayor's playing-ability requirements for an out-of-town Mayberry-funded trip be be in a parade (Mt. Pilot...??) During their audition for the Mayor (marching down the street), the Mayberry Town Band sounded fantastic, because those jazz guys were (though not what they normally played) putting out a great rendition of the Sousa march they were playing (while the regular band members all pretended to be playing).
Anyway...What you see here are six jazz musicians (who - at that time - had a regular lounge gig on a Miss. River cruise ship) "posing" as a polka band. This was a casino high-rollers party where (probably...??) they gave away a trip down the Rhine River (or some such a thing).
I was using a Rudy 5/4 C that I owned at that time with the 5th rotor and #2 trigger "bells/whistles"...in addition to interchangeable mouthpipes (which I installed). It's now re-homed, about 350 miles away. The only other thing to add, here, is "RIP, Mike Krepper."

Barney says “He don’t know that”
