Holton 345 CC Tuba - Soundcheck
Hi,
Here is a sound sample of my C tuba from Holton. The model 345 is popular and known for its great sonority. It is a ''Bob Rusk cut''.
That means the tuba was in BBb and has been cut to CC.
According to the serial number, it is from 1966.
I played from: Marco Bordogni -
Bel Canto Studies the No. 2.

Nice work, Daniel! These tubas can be very fun to play. Mine is also a Rusk cut, from 1964.

I can't wait for you to recreate that Star Trek chart you played last year with those Pedal A flats you played (done on this horn)

Wonderful, congratulations! that two was out there unsold for a very long time so I'm glad that somebody finally bought it. Frankly if it hadn't been in Italy I think it would have sold a whole lot quicker, maybe even to a person like me. :) So... good on you!

Bort frankly I didn't took too much effort in selling it; I knew it was the right thing to do for me, but I still loved to play it and secretly I was hoping no one was seriously interested.. It is in good hands now, and will express her voice at best for many years to go!bort2.0 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 11:55 amWonderful, congratulations! that two was out there unsold for a very long time so I'm glad that somebody finally bought it. I totally understand that! Frankly, if not for Covid, it may have worked for me to buy this from you this time last year... But anyway, that's neither here nor there. It's landed in good hands. I hope your next tuba works great for you, too, gionvil!

Thank you for posting this. I like the sound, control and attention to the musical line.
That tuba found a good home with a very musical player!
Best,
Mark

Fabulous playing on a beautiful horn! Where do you get the accompaniment? Was that a recording or live accompanist?

a modestly-offered suggestion on promoting your newly-published book (congratulations)...
Some people promote their new books by showing small portions of various pages throughout their books (somewhat similar to offering 00:30 samples of sound-file downloads).
