Expensive? It would be nice to have a look at the pistons, but I believe Olds pistons were pretty robust so there's probably not much to see. That would make it more or less "like new", right? And not back shelf new, it appears to be a player in more or less perfect condition, of what must be the most idolized tuba in its class (the class of front valve piston tuba in Goldilocks-approved "just right" size.) If it's what you need, you won't remember very long what you paid for it. Could be wrong, I'm no whiz at evaluating a tuba from a few pictures. I have to wonder if it has been restored - lacquer doesn't appear original to me.
