I need a complete King 2341 valve set (and slide crooks, if you have them). The casing set must be in excellent condition. The condition of the lacquer does not matter at all as it will be stripped. It must have all stems, buttons, and caps, all in reasonable condition. ~~~ No soldered-in stems or patched tunnels, please. ~~~
Alternatively, a likewise good, likewise complete .750" or 19mm four-banger front-facing set would be acceptable.
In exchange, I have a Conn 24J piston set dressed as described above, with the 4th slide circuit so that you can convert your beloved 20J to a 24J using all original parts. These are not perfect but work very well and do not leak. I spent some time working on the action using a set of Ferree's slugs and sleeves on the pistons and casings.
Unsolder your three-piston set from your beloved 20J, remove all the parts from the casings, install them to these valves and then install all that to the bugle. Add the 4th slide parts and BOOM! you will experience a 4th valve machismo with a level of purity that will bury the needle on your tuba-love gauge.
Finally — all the chicks will straight up dig you.
Finally — after all the years of heartbreak, hoping that the tuba would make you into a rarified sex object, you will experience a new level of virility and vitality with the ladies, the ooms, and the pahs — ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
James Brown's "Sex Machine" will play in the background wherever you go.
Live the good life. Dare to dream. Trade me your great condition .689" King four-piston valve set (or an as-described .750" set) and receive the 4th valve, the slide circuit, and the social life for which you have always dreamt and craved.
¡Contesta ahora! ¡Atrévete a vivir la vida loca!
The remaining ding removal and lacquer stripping have been done, but I do not have pics. Sorry.
