Nobody cares, just as nobody has bought that horn from BBC, but I got it's 4V brother and like it a lot. Good intonation, nice sound, fast valves. Smallish and fairly light. I just noticed that it half-valves better than the (few) other rotary tubas I've played; no idea why this is. I like a Blokepiece Symphony on it, so far.
If the BBC horn plays as well as this one, it seems like a good deal for that price.

I have played this tuba at Baltimore Brass many times but I am not interested in buying another tuba. For what it is worth, I always thought that it is an excellent all-purpose tuba that has a nice sound and good intonation.

So, lots of people have played it and apparently liked it, and it's still there after 10 years. Is it just too expensive? If that's it, why is it still priced that way? Does someone at BBS have a bet on how long they can keep something without selling it?

It was like $4,400 ot something for a long time. For me, that was just too much.
Now, it's around $3,000. Much better, but I'd still think it should go for a little less. It's a nice horn, but a case of "... For the same money or a little more..." Also, an unknown brand, and some possible pitch things to resolve (the gang at BBC told me the MTS was likely cut, so it rides a little high. Also, the pitch tendencies are no worse than other tubas, but are different than what we're used to. (I believe this is what they said... Been a while.
I've bought and sold a lot of tubas. That $4,000 range is really tricky. Maybe not 10 years tricky, but tricky.
