Update on Cerveny situation?...
Does anyone have current info on the situation with Cerveny? I think I read last year (?) that Lidl acquired the tooling and employees of Cerveny and will produce their horns. How is that playing out in the real world - anyone know?...

I heard that too. Here in Germany some dealers want to get rid of their Cerveny horns and make good prices. So i grabbed a CBB 686-4B Symphonia 3 for less money.

...but maybe it would be a good thing for them to step the metal gauge up to .6mm, and use Minibal links.

Had I place the most recent edition of the John Packer JP379B (amazing knock-off of the Arion B-flat) FIRST, I might not have begun my Holton/King project. They've always been "good"...but - the last one that I sold to a private school - about an hour away...wow !

My Cerveny F had minibal linkage, too. Worked smoothly and without issue. My old Cerveny BBb, which I bought my sophomore year in college, had ball and socket joints . . . Definitely not as good, but that was in 1990.

As i read, Lidl has taken over the Cerveny production facility and the employees, it is again produced there by hand. But the trademark rights to the Cerveny & Synove brand have been owned by Geneva and its investors since the British took over.
By the way - This ist my new horn
