Mother's Day jazz combo gig (yea!)

Post by bloke »

I continue to almost be giddy - now - when presented with yet another "gig".

I'm back with my septo-/octo-genarian jazz virtuoso buddies (I've known most of them for nearly a half-century, now) at the Memphis University Club.

We play a two-hour brunch and then (since they've still not reopened the amazing buffet) may order "whatever" off the menu.

(No...I don't order off the top $$$ of the menu. :eyes:)

As these posts of mine are silly and self-indulgent, I will continue to bump the thread about Mr. Cox's performance, immediately after beginning threads such as this one.

idea for Sunday...

found this on Library of Congress website, printed out the chorus, scribbled the changes out (while watching "Hogan's Heroes"), scanned it with the changes added, and emailed it to the guys...
