5th addition on 186CC4U
Hello folks,
Greetings from Brazil.
Recently I added the 5th valve on my Miraphone.
That horn is original 4 valves and made in middle of 90 years, is that Standard model with low nickel brass and no Kranz.
Plays well, so well and I get a spare (Same bore size) rotor
I used the paddles from a Chinese F tuba and did it as right thumb ring. The circuit like the slide I did curving a tube with resin inside.
I hope the guys like it.
I intend to sell it soon.

Thanks
Dante

That's a nice under-everything weaving job of the action arm !
...and that's also a fine job of bending tubing.
----------------------------
(I also had one of those (early Miraphone 181 copy?) F tubas around here, which I bought as a parts instrument from a friend.
What's left of it is getting smaller and smaller.)

Great work!
There is a huge tuba community in Brazil. Some interesting stuff has been coming out of there.

200+ million people in Brazil. They'd better have some tuba players! :)
Very nice work on the 186!

Clean 1960 Mirafone and it sounds amazing. Good work.

Re: 5th addition on 186CC4U
Assuming that rotor was donated from a 19mm bore instrument, I do not consider that a bad move at all.
