Bach 18 mouthpiece
Bach 18, in excellent condition, includes mouthpiece pouch. $40 TYD (to your door!)
As far as I can tell, the only mark is some sort of line on the side of the rim... Purely cosmetic, and really just super light. Not a new mouthpiece, but sure doesn't seem like it was ever used more than a few times. Maybe I can polish off a bit more tarnish, but it's ready to go.

Re: Bach 18 mouthpiece
Probably the cheapest domestic shipping-WITH-insurance is USPS...
either the smallest Priority box, or a Priority padded envelope...around $8.XX, and includes UP TO (serendipitously) $50 insurance.
Otherwise, one of those very small/generic padded envelopes (1st Class/NO insurance, but tracking AVAILABLE...if you take it to the counter) would probably be around $5 - $6.

Re: Bach 18 mouthpiece
I also use a small padded envelope to ship a mouthpiece. But I refuse line at the PO. Life is too short for that! I use PayPal (or another shipping software package) to print a label and just leave it on the PO counter. First Class, trackable but not insured, for about $4.

Re: Bach 18 mouthpiece
For whatever reason, the USPS website won't allow me to print 1st Class postage from their website...
...and not even 1st Class International.
In the past, I was able to do this.
We have a couple of 1-man, 2-man, and 3-man post offices around here (albeit they're are 8 - 15 miles away, though it only consumes 8 - 15 minutes of time to get to any of them), and there are rarely more than a couple people in line. At one or two of those places, I have to remember that (being one-man) they close for lunch.

Never thought about walking it to the counter. I sent one out to MA about 2 weeks ago. I swear they don’t scan things at all.greenbean wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 1:30 pmI also use a small padded envelope to ship a mouthpiece. But I refuse line at the PO. Life is too short for that! Re: Bach 18 mouthpiece
I just mailed something else from the PO this morning.
This branch:
* 2 miles from home
* rarely has a line
* super friendly people that work there
* free packing tape if you need it
* easy parking
* not in Minneapolis

Re: Bach 18 mouthpiece
Yeah, that never describes the PO off of Sylvan Way in Bremerton, WA. They NEVER offer free packing tape. So I’m more inclined to use the Tracyton one. I really miss the one off of Shore Drive in Norfolk, VA. Just a super retired Navy guy.

Are you sure about selling this? These make Conn 20J's sound pretty good.

You are right! I've been using the megatone 18 that I used throughout college, and it works great. Since I already have one, I don't need two :)KingTuba1241X wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 8:13 am Are you sure about selling this? These make Conn 20J's sound pretty good.
