Valve cluster for sale
DEG 4 valve cluster for sale, includes slides and the first branch or so.
I bought it off of here for a project, then lucked into a valve set that I didn't need to reconfigure. These are .728 bore and would are pretty much perfect for a project/franken-tuba because you can adjust the ports so easily. I just don't have anything to put them on at the moment and a few other projects coming up first.
$500 and you pay shipping.

Re: Valve cluster for sale
Hey, Brendan! I am sorry I do not have the money right now as I really need those valves. Oh well, they turn up from time to time, so one day when I have the bucks I will locate a set.
A helpful idea to help you locate a buyer: Post high res photos of the casings, port details (to show how they are easily re-routable) and the surface of each piston.
If you already have photos (or you take some soon) and cannot figure out how to post them, PM me and I will host and post them for you. These deserve a home.

Re: Valve cluster for sale
That's a really good bore size.
The porting - within those - is good...very little of the typical convex distortions.
The very last ones (towards the shuttering of Weril) were made were stainless steel, and most were nickel plated.
With the only problem being that they are cut to length...
Here are some .728" bore slide tubes and crooks that might be useful (for whomever ends up with this "valve block".
Notice that the sousaphone features a .728" 'dogleg'...and doglegs solve alignment problems !
