Now making its way to the dance floor we have a once-used (literally) Miraphone G170102 Gig Bag. I bought this bag because I needed a bag for my 188 for a gig and my Superfine case (to be reviewed later) was not ready yet.
$300 shipped anywhere in CONUS ($340 new from Horn Guys, plus shipping). Bag is in Reston, VA near DC.
According to Miraphone, this bag fits: model 289, model 495 Hagen, model 496 Hagen, model 86, model 87, model 88. So, it will fit a 186 / 188 type instrument (max bell size 18.5", max height 40.5"). This means there's a TON of rotary tubas out there this bag will fit.
I have to admit, I'm probably stupid to sell this bag because it's a very well made bag. Granted, I've not used one for years to see how they hold up but I'm impressed with the product. Comfortable to wear, convenient top loader, adequate padding and pockets... I just don't need two bags for my 188.
Payment through PayPal or Venmo.

Re: Miraphone G170102 Gig Bag - Like New
To help out here, I have used these bags (three of them) for about six years now. They are first-rate quality. I hate top-loaders with a passion but have come to like these bags. Storage is decent (but not great) and the padding is very good for a Cordura bag. The straps are very stout, like Cronkhite in the stitching quality. I have never had any stitching even look like it might be coming loose, unlike just about all other bags. I am very hard on my gig bags as I carry the horn using ONLY the left shoulder strap. I do not use the handles or the clip-on horizontal strap. I do not use the right shoulder strap. Just the left. And after many hundreds of trips using just that strap, there is zero wear to the materials. Likewise with the metal hardware: no signs of bending or cracking at the spot welds. The zippers are stout, too.
These are excellent bags. Miraphone would not feature them on their website if they were prone to failures or flaws.

I agree with @the elephant. These are top quality, well made bags. I have owned several over the years, and they have all performed flawlessly. I currently have two, and one is this model. The 496 is a snug fit, but it does fit. And for a brand new/hardly used bag, this is a fair price. You'd probably have to buy a bag from a shop with a new tuba to go in it for the possibility of a better price.

Shipping from my zip code in VA near DC to a random one in the San Francisco area is close to $60, so.... yeah.
