Tuba in "Never Say Die" starring Bob Hope

Post by wnlewis »

There is a tuba in the movie Never Say Die starring Bob Hope.

By the looks of it, could it be a Conn 25J with the recording bell?

Anyone have a better idea?

Movie is on-line. Musical number starts at the 46:00 mark. Might be a Martin, but tough to tell on a small screen.

Conn 24J
I think I see the upper loop on the first valve circuit and the fourth valve slide looks to be in the correct spot. Also looks like a Conn bell profile, maybe an inch or two less diameter.
Good spot. Thanks.
HRender thanks for posting the movie and time.
