The thread about newer Alexanders touched upon this topic, so I went back to TN, grabbed it and am cross-posting it here. Anyone who knows of a name that's not on the list, let me know and I'll update it. Note that some of these stencil names were used for tubas that came from more than one manufacturer- for example, we've seen Musica-branded tubas made by Cerveny as well as B&S:

Good old Kroner. I had a mid 60's one that came from Custom Music that was a Cerveny through and through. Good little horn.

An interesting spin on this list would be to have all the stencil brands listed and what manufacturers would’ve been used and for what models.

Are all of those names associated with 101’s, or are some of them associated with 103’s and Cerveny’s ?

Re: List of B&S 101 Stencil Names (so far)
As nearly as I can remember, they were all on 101s. This, however, would not have precluded their use on other models. ISTR quite a few came from eBay listings that were posted over the years. Also, I just remembered a shop called Steyr (in Austria?) that made tubas with some of these stencil names.
Here are some of the TN threads on the topic. Some of the posts are gone for reasons most of us know, but almost all the relevant information is there:

Re: List of B&S 101 Stencil Names (so far)
I have seen "not B&S made" instruments with a lot of the brands in the list above engraved on them, so I would find the list to be of questionable utility.

Which is precisely why I included the lines:
"Note that some of these stencil names were used for tubas that came from more than one manufacturer- for example, we've seen Musica-branded tubas made by Cerveny as well as B&S:"
and
"Also, I just remembered a shop called Steyr (in Austria?) that made tubas with some of these stencil names".
