Re: Dent eraser
I still don't see how that set is that much better than what I constructed on ebay with chrome steel ball bearings and Neodymium magnets for less than $150

Re: Dent eraser
A small chip in the magnet can cause some rather catastrophic damage. This is very over-priced and damaged in a significant way. There is no way to see whether a replacement N95 neodymium magnet can be sourced that will be of good 1uality and fit the kit. I would buy it if it were like a hundred bucks, but not a cent more. You can create an excellent kit for less using stuff sourced from eBay. That is what most people have done since this kit was sold by Conn-Selmer (and the later MDRS kit) came out.
Avoid at this price because of the added expense and time of sourcing a new magnet.

Re: Dent eraser
I have no use for the big chuck of (non-magnetic) steel.
The other stuff is Amazon-found.
Those pads are sorta cool, but high-grade washcloths (saturated with grease) last plenty long...and - when a hole is worn in it - move it over. Finally - when the washcloth looks like Swiss cheese - get another washcloth.

Re: Dent eraser
I have always wondered whether electro-magnets (with flexible power supply lead) could be used instead and at a lower capital cost. Are the steel balls bought off of Amazon? I kind of think that they could be cheaper and don’t need to be a precision item.
