...so since several of those (currently on the market) somewhat resemble way-shorter Olds O-99 tubas...

...Has anyone experimented with yanking one of those 19mm rotary valvesets off of one of those early Jinbao (Miraphone-like) F tubas and sticking in on an Olds O-99 frame, that has been cut down to 12' long...??
