Sourcing Jarno #5 reamer...

Post by UncleBeer »

Anyone know where to source an affordable Jarno #5 reamer? They seem kinda scarce, and Newman just quoted me $357.89 for one.

Wow: just got another quote for $549 for one #5 Jarno reamer from Republic Drill. Surely there are more affordable options...?

Yeah, but that's $154.74. Call me a cheapskate, but I don't see this one reamer costing more than $100.

Yep, #5 (the 2nd image). I found one for $93 from Michigan Drill, so that's on the way to me. Thanks, all!

I remained silent because (as my memory is bad - and record-keeping worse) I couldn't remember where the heck I bought mine...

...but (after quite a bit of detective work, years ago) I actually found THE GUY who makes them - rather than a guy who buys them FROM him and retails them...

I bought one that goes down to .500", and the next-smaller one as well.

For a small charge, he cross-drilled the square parts for me, for when I prefer to use them as hand tools.
