I don't know anything about Bueschers, but the slides on this thing look awkward. The price seems a bit high too.

For those of you too lazy to follow the link, but still curious.
It has the 4th valve, which is less common?
That is the main tuning slide in the leadpipe, whichwould be an older style, but the engraving is on (oriented along) the flare of the bell. I am used to these being on one side of the bell?
Is interesting, at least.

Re: Buescher sousaphone
Also on the craigslist just north of the mason dixon line (leastwise as i learned it... i wasn't too good at history...)
I had the fortune to get something else off the seller recently, and it was out, taunting me...

But alas, i didn't have $2k on me... But i was pleased with the condition of what i got, which seems promising. The engraving onthe inside of the bell feels like this is a later era Buescher? Perhaps closer to when Selmer bought 'em? (again, i am not as well versed in history)

Re: Buescher sousaphone
I know more about these than I care to post at this time.
For the four-valve version, Buescher basically used their concert tuba valveset.
