The Beatles Should Have Used the Tuba!

Post by Doc »

Here’s a Beatles tune. More fun projects with my band mate.

Blokespecial 186 (makes me sound halfway decent)
Blokepiece Imperial

But if you really want to hear the Beatles done right with absolutely outstanding tuba and tuba taken to another level --> listen to this group Rhythm & Brass. Their Sitting in an English Garden is Beatles done right. Charles Villarrubia is one outstanding tuba player. :cheers:
I will check it out!

I really like all of your tunes, Bill, and I'd like to hear you do a few on your F tuba - possibly voiced all in-the-staff.
===================================
Delayed TWO seasons (due to _____), I'm playing a pops concert (with a really good cover band - a band that has done TWO themed pops concerts with us before) that is (except for ONE actual "Beatles" song) a whole bunch of music that McCartney, Lennon, Harrison, and Starr recorded INDIVIDUALLY, after the break-up.

It's a pretty thick book...ie. LOTS of notes, and not all that many rests. (I got it in the mail from the symphony office - two years ago - and had to turn it back in.) The arranger/bass player always wants the cimbasso on everything, and - when I "put it to it" - looks back at me and grins ear-to-ear.

The Statler Brothers tune and You Took Advantage of Me were on F. But I’ll do some on F tuba specifically in the staff. :thumbsup:
