Tuba solos w/ pre-recorded accompaniment

Post by Casca Grossa »

I'm looking for good sources of pre-recorded accompaniment for tuba or other solo voice. Since I am one of those practice room warriors with no real gigs other than a yearly Memorial Day gig, I'm looking for a way to practice with accompaniment. This may lead to some volunteer solo stuff down the road. What I am looking for is higher level tuba solos. Anything suitable for advanced high school, college, pro player, etc. Back in the day, I was a fairly capable player having performed the RVW, Broughton, Gregson, etc. in public performance, so not looking for The Happy Farmer for beginner. I am also looking for music for pretty much any instrument or voice like pop/jazz/karaoke type things. I think the latter should be easy for me to find but the tuba specific works, I am not sure where to start. Any help would be much appreciated. I am open to CDs, downloadable files, etc.

Thanks

Look on youtube for tuba karaoke. There are a surprising number of great recordings out there, and when I have found a problem with any of them, the person who uploaded them has made the correction and uploaded a new version
