Yeah, looks like an old 186-4R in the old nomenclature. The 186-4U was a four valve, upright bell. R was for recording bell.

Yeah, it looks original. Just like the one I tried to sell last year (before my brother wanted it): https://www.tubaforum.net/viewtopic.php?t=359. Mine is from 1965. Maybe I should get it back….
