c. 1960's London/Edgware Rd. Besson 3-valve compensating "ENGLISH" (style) BARITONE

- Edgware Rd. factory (made in England)
- c. 13mm bore (a bit over 1/2 inch)
- 8" bell
- valves in very good condition (#1 piston shows a couple of small plating flaws)
- no dents / original worn lacquer / clean appearance
- replacement correct-threads finger buttons, correct piston alignment
- small shank receiver
- compensating (in-tune) range to "low E"
- If desired by the buyer, I'm willing to shine up brown areas and hit them with clear - included in the price of buying the instrument.
- willing to sell AT COST + SHIPPING (and drop-shipped - if the buyer is willing to tolerate "supply chain" issues) a JP8273 case (good cordura zipper hard case) or a JP856 (JPpro) case (deluxe zipper hard case)
- Shipping of this instrument (well-packed and shipped domestically via FedExGround) is probably the lowest-cost, and will be at the buyers expense.
- $900 buys it immediately, and I am willing consider offers.

Mouthpieces are up to individual tastes, but - for the most characteristic sound - I would (for my tastes) recommend something SMALL (smaller than 6-1/2AL). Most people can come up with a 12C-ish mouthpiece for cheap or for free, but - if a mouthpiece is needed - I can probably dig one up and include it.

tubaforum is going to be offered any of my stuff FIRST.

Unless the person with whom I've been communicating changes their tune, I believe this instrument is sold...

...and (as I promised them) I've blinged it out somewhat - as I've polished areas where there was no lacquer (plus quite a bit more of the instrument than that), done a quick gentle polish on all of those areas, and hit all of the newly-polished areas with clear.

The original lacquer remains on the rest (mostly inner areas) of the instrument.

I believe this was "worth it", and stepped up the appearance a good bit.

...now: to show these pic's to the person who's been expressing interest...
