Very cool! How far down does it go? On my 1895 Conn, it nearly goes from bell to ferrule.
BTW, do we have a thread for "show us your tubas engraving" on this site, or was it on the other one?

Re: Ever received a surprise tuba delivery?!
Only down to the lead pipe, which I think was what Conn did for "Finish II." For "Finish I," the engraving went all the way down where yours does.
Played an F. E. Olds 4-valve BBb in high school (late '70s)
Led the USC Trojan Marching Band tuba section (early '80s)
Now playing an F. Schmidt (=VMI) 3301 and goofing around
on a 1925 Pan American Sousaphone and an 1899 Conn tuba!

The engraving is the best part about my old Conn, it's otherwise in pretty tough (but not crunched up) shape.
Have you tracked down some replacement fingerbuttons yet?

Re: Ever received a surprise tuba delivery?!
Matt Walters said he would keep his eyes open for options, and I just reached out to Lee Stofer to see what he might have in his stash of tuba parts.
Any other suggestions?

What size - according to known-thread-size test screws - are the threads in the stems...??
6-40 ?
8-32 ?
If you don't have any test screws, you might purchase one of each of those listed (just above) from your neighborhood hardware store, and report back.
