Put up a poll -- on which tuba do you think Bill sounds the best?

When recording in my low-ceiling room, they are just different sizes of the same mediocre.

Is this kind of like Suzuki violin method, where the song is taught by imitation, except you need to use your ear to get the right partials? I'm curious how the lessons will progress.

Re: Wanna play by ear? Play along with me.
Similar to Suzuki, but I don’t intend to discuss each interval in detail - the idea being that your ear be your guide, not teaching intervals by rote. Reliance should be on hearing the intervals and reproducing them the same way as when we sing. It helps to know your way around the instrument, but the fingerings displayed can help younger or less experienced players. This is a departure from what we learn and how we learn in school, and it is a huge failure on the part of academia. I go into this in more detail in my fun tunes series, so I wanted to make these videos shorter with less talk, with the focus being on the opportunity to play along then try it on your own. Build confidence, no pressure, repeat as necessary, and, of course, be a fun/enjoyable experience.

You must have just gotten back from your manicure when you made this.

I did come straight from my manicure. All 12 steps from the living room.Three Valves wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 10:08 pm You must have just gotten back from your manicure when you made this.
I even thought about putting on white gloves, but it I don’t think it has gotten to the point where we need to cover up hands along with dirty ugly man-feet.
