20J with upright bell $1300 BIN (eBay)

Post by The Big Ben »

There is a 20J with an upright bell on eBay for $1300 Buy it now. $140 shipping from Elgin, IL

Looks fairly clean. Leadpipe could use attention. It does have an upright bell.

If you have a 2xJ or 3xJ with a recording bell and want an upright bell, you could take the bell for your horn and sell the rest with a recording bell. Or buy it and play it.

Check out the backside of the tuba... All of the knuckles between valves are a mess. That, plus the leadpipe... Ouch.

I asked about the bell (which has been previously repaired) only, and was offered a price that made me roll my eyes.

I think it's all too expensive

Nailed it. A $1000.00 off would be much closer to an appropriate price.
