Mirafone 188 on FB Tuba/Euphonium Marketplace Group

This one sure looks nice. The seller is asking $7500. including a Cronkhite bag. Looks to be in excellent shape and possibly of an older vintage in light of the flat 2+3 5th and the linkages. Even has vented valves. I scored a mint 188 (2013) for 5K somewhat recently (flat whole step) with an MTS case. Even though it involved an 8 hour drive each way, I think I got lucky. It is a wonderful complement to my PT6-P clone and a pleasure to play out in quintet. Of note, my existing custom Cronkhite for the 5/4 fits the 188 just fine for my needs, the very heavy MTS just occupying space in my music room. Oh yeah, classy seller, fully clothed and no feet!
