This model is still billed as a student model, but now features nickel silver outside playing slide tubes, and an 8" bell. Basically, it's in-between the size of the "Legend" professional series 2B and 3B trombones.

Of course, King "needs" a student trombone (even though I'm having to become accustomed to new "student" trombones costing over $1500).
...but - WERE the cross-braces and main tuning slide bow wider, this WOULD be a (per King cosmetics) professional model: (again) a 2.5B
