@tindalltuba won the Naples Philharmonic job today. His students are winning auditions as well. Good stuff!

Re: Congrats to Aaron Tindall!
That will be a good fit for Aaron.
what impressed me about Naples:
the completely bug-screened-in (sides AND tops) backyards...being in a tropical location, and (though beautiful/cultivated/manicured/etc.) right on the edge of the Everglades.

Alligators are God’s way of telling me I don’t won’t to live there.
But then, I’d also rather not live here so…

Re: Congrats to Aaron Tindall!
Alligators are not only delicious, but a large enough one’s skin would look beautiful - wrapped artfully around one of my tubas, and with zippers and handles installed.

A steer can kill you just as easily as can an alligator.

Re: Congrats to Aaron Tindall!
Hey non-tubaforum member Aaron,
We expect to see you come out with your own line of alligator skin tuba and euphonium bags.
Since these will have a great deal of redneck southern appeal, you might wish to call them “bass horn“ and “baritone horn“ bags, instead.

What’s this about? Mr. Tindall has an account here. Or is this some other obtuse reference?bloke wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 11:21 am Hey non-tubaforum member Aaron,

Re: Congrats to Aaron Tindall!
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
I actually have some tanned alligator hide from a permitted hunt that I did a few years ago down here. Maybe I’ll make some mouthpiece pouches soon out of it!
I’ve had a few of the standard messages from folks recently asking about equipment. I took and used 5 tubas on this. Majority was played on a yamayork, 822, Thor, and Alex F though.
Cheers!
