Bach 7 regular or megatone
Anyone have one gathering dust? I suspected this might pair with my miraphone 190

I have a large European tuba (cerveny 601) that is very similar to a 190, and my 7 is not a good fit for it. Way too tubby. I have both a megatone 7 and a regular. The megatone has a larger throat, and it will suck the air right out of your lungs. Just not enough resistance
The best mouthpiece I have found is the Sellmanberger symphony. Every time I try something else, I always go back to it.

NOT sexy, but try an 12.
(I played a 7 for quite a few years, and I'm thinking it's just a bit too much different from your C4 - which "works".)
The 7 throat is really quite large...
I DID look through my crap, but - I'm guessing that I included any 7 I might have previously owned/used with some forgotten tuba that I sold to a school (ie. "with case and mouthpiece")
a 12...??
