I’d guess the 3450’s on FB aren’t what you’re looking for in terms of price.

Most I’ve seen are around $10,000. (FWIW, that’s WAY high for a tuba like that, IMO.)

Well, it's been fun, but most of those changes were financially motivated over the last 5 or so years. If money hadn't been a factor, I would have kept that PT-6 forever and ever. Everything else just went crazytown after that and selling things to chase my F-for-everything lasted a month or two before I had to sell it, and the only time that tuba left the house was when it was boxed up and on its way to Texas.

The switch to all Eb tubas was unintentional -- it was literally THE tuba that I could afford at the time, and since then has been the only tuba I could justify keeping. It's been one of the longer-owned tubas that I've had. Well, I guess technically not, *I* don't own it anymore. But that's another story altogether.

I did use the Eb in orchestra for a few months before my Rudy was ready (and I had to sell that within a month or two as well). But after I was informed that I had to quit the orchestra, I haven't used it for anything serious since then. Nor have I done any serious playing since then.

Well, start a tuba-euph quartet and have it meet at your house. That helps with the "you're spending too much time away from home in the evenings."
