A tuba that large should be able to really houl, so that is a given.

Starting bid's been lowered $5K --> $3K. Still seems optimistic.

Agreed, and I own one of the same vintage. If they knock off $1250 bucks they might get a nibble, but Lee Stofer has had a 1960 model that's in better shape up for months at that price.

FWIW, Lee has a second big Martin, same thing, which he has for his own personal use. It sounds like he LOVES it, and that it's about the easiest to play big tuba that he's ever had.
