Today,
I worked on a Bach (Olds tooling) "marching trombone" (flugabone...but the "flugabone" name technically is exclusive to KING, so...) for a university teacher to use with online lessons, since it isn't as unwieldy as a trombone or a euphonium.
- dents removed
- mouthpipe straightened and aligned (previously fairly F.U.B.A.R.)
- chem clean, corks/felts
- converted the #1 slide to tune-on-the-fly with a thumb saddle and a vented #1 piston (' never did this to a flugabone, before )
I charged only $100, but he also has to bring me the female Covid-lookalike female kitty (WITH him paying for spaying and shots) next weekend - when we have an orchestra gig together.
Also, he bought a Sellmansberger mouthpiece from me (Lexan rim...They're one of those allergic-to-a-bunch-of-stuff people, unfortunately.)
...so I ended up with a few hundred bucks, and (by next week) a turnkey kitten...OH...Just like Covid, that one is ALSO a mouser...!!!
