Hello all,
New to the forum, please don’t hate me.I was a tuba player in high school and always wanted to purchase one, but could never really afford one. Anyway… I found a really good deal on a BBb meister gerhard schneider tuba. Like crazy good, but it’s missing 2 tuning slides And not really in great shape. Dents and whatnot.I can’t really find much info on it other than it is a stencil tuba made by B&S maybe? How might I go about finding said slides? Can anyone tell me if $250 would be a good price? Thanks in advance!

Re: Meister Gerhard Schneider tuba
With missing slides, you’re going to end up several more hundreds of dollars into the instrument, and only then will you even fully know if it’s not terrible.
You’d be better off spending $750 or so on something playable.
It’s likely a B&S or Cerveny stencil, iirc.

There’s a Chinese copy of that tuba made by Jinbao, but I don’t know if any of the people who import those instruments will be able to get you your missing slides.
