MW 5450 Thor

Post by Matthew Gaunt »

Hi All

Up for sale is an excellent MW 5450 Thor. Silver with small bell and cronkite bag. Excellent pitch. Great intonation. Easy response all up and down the horn. I have found that the “hammer sound” thing with these is not an issue here. Yes you can make it bark, but I have found it can play big and
pretty too. Have used with Chicago Symphony, Grant Park, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Chicago Lyric Opera as well as quintet work.

Located Just outside of Chicago. Preferred not to ship but shipping may be arranged at buyers expense. Asking $11,500. Open to trades…

Thanks
Matt

This is my old Thor. An excellent instrument that I’ve raved about here. Somebody will love it.
