I had a chance to play this and the sound is very nice. It's in wonderful shape, amazing compression for a 90 year old sousaphone. I'd say it sat unused for years because it's an Eb.

Yes, valves are in great shape.
For me personally, the price is a bit steep, but for what it is -- a lightweight, nice-sounding, vintage three valve Eb sousaphone -- it's very nice.
