Thanks again everyone for the recommendations. I will definitely stick to BBb as I am most familiar with that key. May be working on a deal for one at the moment :)

BBb, without question.

Wind band music = flat keys

Trad jazz = flat keys

Brass quintet music = flat keys

Brass band music = flat keys

While orchestral music is primarily in sharp keys, the music written for tuba is generally speaking, regarding technique, less demanding than the above examples - and your section mates (aka trombones) are also in Bb.

This has served me well for almost 50 years, YMMV.
