For sale is a Scherzer 4/4 CC tuba made in Germany in the 1950s. The valve linkages have been replaced with B&S linkages. There are some minor dents in the bottom bow and normal wear from use, but overall it’s in great playing condition. It makes a beautiful German tone and the intonation is good. Would be a great all-purpose horn for quintets, concert bands and lighter orchestral playing.
Comes with an older Altieri gig bag and converter for European mouthpiece shanks.
$3,500 $3,000 plus $500 shipping in the U. S. I am located near San Jose, California and am happy to have you come for a trial and pick up.

That looks like fun.
edit: I had a question, but I'm moving it to the main forum to avoid cluttering this listing.

Re: Price Drop - For Sale: Scherzer 4/4 CC Tuba
I have a Scherzer CC that looks nearly identical to this one, apart from the bends into the main tuning slide being a little different. I've been very happy with it. I also used it a few months for Eb bass parts in brass band, and it was a pretty good fit -- for tone and agility -- much better fit than a Miraphone 188.
