I suppose it might often be easier to finish reading a book than finishing building a tuba:

- The book neither needs to make any sense, nor (if a book does make sense) does anyone need to understand it - once finished.
- The parts of a book read while half asleep are still in the book.
- If someone mentions a read-but-not-understood book, an s.o.p. fallback is the Hawkeye/Radar "ahh...Bachhh!" response.
