messing around with tinker toys...~A~ tuba

Post by bloke »

...or - rather - "bombardon en A"...??

' goofing around with spare parts, after this morning's practice session, and before going out to do more work on that nasty ol' beat-up 20K sousaphone.

It's much easier to play "Ride of the Valkuries" in (if B-flat tuba) "C", and with only four valves required.
issue: The valve slides are so well-aligned, that - when I pull them out to tune them to A - they tend to slip back in, while playing.

Make fun of this all ya'll want...but it's more interesting than insurance...or watching someone become triggered over my views of stuff that actually matters, isn't it...and how many of y'all have EVER played a C-sharp in the middle of the staff with no buttons mashed...??
