FS: Fun Quintet Arrangement

Post by the elephant »

I wrote an arrangement of Tico-Tico no Fubá (Zequinha de Abreu — 1917) for the MSO quintet. We read it today and it was unanimously added to the recital program we will be playing around the state in the late Spring.

Sir,
I only wish to purchase quintet arrangements that are not fun. Preferably those that are extremely dissonant, scored well outside the typical range for all involved instruments, and require frequent use of assorted and rare mutes with alternating measures senza sordino.

(I actually love this piece, but you have to put a gun to trumpeters' heads to get them to want to work this one up. It is "out there" to be sure…)
