If you wait long enough, there might also be a listing for a gorgeous York tuba or Holton sousaphone? Not to mention a miraphone of some repute...
(if i wasn't lazy to begin with, i might keep not being lazy:)
But if you don't want to wait for facebook to catch up to tubaforum...
York
viewtopic.php?p=57859 and viewtopic.php?p=23334
Holton (gorgeous operation is distributive, so it also applies to this)
viewtopic.php?p=23254
Unmentioned Miraphone:

This one makes me realize how good my luck was on my 122. Bought it in unplayable condition from a private high school for $350 I think? It was definitely under 500. Bought a new neck receiver, neck and bits (for a Jupiter because the Holton parts weren't available), had a friend put it back together, and had a guy in Texas (5-Line Technology) do a minor overhaul on the valveset for $400. I forget the difference between that one and his $750 job, but he replated the valves, tore down the block and reassembled with some VERY nice patches. The horn plays like a dream now, for around $850 would be my guess.
Oh...we also had to pull a shoe brush out of the horn before it played GREAT.
I'm even more stoked at the deal I got.
Nick

If you see a Willson 2900, serial W2177, it's been missing for a long time. Help me bring it home.
