SOLD: Getzen G-60 F Tuba

Post by tylerferris1213 »

Hello! Up for sale is my Getzen G60 F tuba. This was one of three prototypes made when Getzen was sponsoring Canadian Brass. Before the G60 could be put in production, Canadian Brass left to be sponsored by another company and Getzen discontinued the project. If you've seen a CB50, you'll see that this horn looks like its younger sister.

This horn is unlike any F I've ever played. The low end is easy and responsive like an Eb, and the high range has the typical F tuba timbre. I find it to be the best of both worlds.

I just got the horn back from being overhauled, and the pictures show just how good the condition is. This thing is ready to play and needs absolutely no maintenance. If you want pictures of anything specific, please let me know and I'll be happy to oblige!

The horn comes with an Altieri gig bag that was custom made for it. It rides easily on your back. I'd rather not ship such a rare horn and am willing to drive a reasonable distance from NW Ohio to facilitate a sale. Shipping can be done professionally at buyer's expense. Thank you for looking, and reach out if you have any questions! I'm asking $5,500, but I'm open to reasonable offers. tylerferris1213@gmail.com

The link got messed up…

I’m going to try to edit it.

Edit: success!

For others, when the link is really long, throw the url and /url in square brackets at the front and end of the link. The phpBB does weird things sometimes with long links if the markup isn’t there.

Very nice! Is it raw brass? Brushed finish?

If it's priced high enough, I won't have to feel bad about skipping on it, right?

Whoops! I forgot to put my asking price in the description. I'm asking $5,500 or best reasonable offer. As for finish, the body is a brushed finish and the tuning slides and caps are gold lacquered.
