Mirafone tuba advertisements from 1960-1961

Hi again, all - while researching the early history of the fiberglass Sousaphone yesterday (see my other post from today), I stumbled upon the following advertisements for Mirafone tubas in The Instrumentalist from 1960-1961. They feature Bobo, Johnson, and some fellow-USC Trojans! Fight On!

Played an F. E. Olds 4-valve BBb in high school (late '70s)
Led the USC Trojan Marching Band tuba section (early '80s)
Now playing an F. Schmidt (=VMI) 3301 and goofing around
on a 1925 Pan American Sousaphone and an 1899 Conn tuba!

I've frequently seen Mirafone ads plus those of other instrument makers on Ebay.

By modern standards, those photos are pretty silly:

Roger looks like he's still waiting to be told when they are taking the photo.
Tommy looks like he is being forced by someone off camera to smile or else.
