a friend is headed out to fetch this for me.

I've posted more than once about moving from bags to cases (all of my tubas).

I've not had luck finding a hard case for my B&S F tuba - at least, not one that's not way-too-large-on-the-outside and/or way-too-expensive (and JP hasn't YET moved over from cordura/zipper to molded latch for their rotary F tuba...otherwise, I'd have one of those cases), and I've been using my 4/4 fiberglass (heavy) Walt Johnson case for my F tuba.

Today, a friend is headed off to fetch this for me:

It looks to be (??) a crappy-quality (yet never or almost-never used / newish-lookin') older-style case in which Jinbao previously stuck their model 200 tubas (B&S 101 knock-offs).

Hopefully, my B&S Symphonie F tuba will fit in this...

It's under $100, and (hopefully) will hold together for a few years - until I croak, or find something better...

My friend is also buying one of the new model mouthpieces, so we're bartering them buying the case and burning gas against the mouthpiece.

If it doesn't fit at all, I'll find SOME (??) use for it.

We live at least six hour apart, but - eventually - one of us will be visiting the other...no rush (I'll continue to use the WJ case until then.) :smilie8:
