post 2020 hyperinflation and repair supplies

Post by bloke »

...so (mostly now avoiding these convenience/jobber parts/suppliers resellers) I'm now doing my homework and finding out where they've been buying all the sh!t I formerly bought from them.

ie. nope...just can't do $35...but I can do $22 from the guy you buy it from...even though you probably get it from them for $17 (etc., etc., etc...)

Also, I'm repairing more busted parts (rather than tossing them in the brass scrap).

for y'all:

I'm not sayin' that you shouldn't buy a $90 jimbo/india Walmart trumpet for your kid. (I might well do the same, if I didn't have a stack-o-trumpets) but (maybe?) buy at least two...so you have some extra pistons, guides, caps, mouthpipe tube, slides, etc., etc...
