I've played this horn before it ended up at BBC, the 18" bell was a special order. Decent horn, very good price.

I like the "creative workaround" on the 5th valve. Really, any elastic works well for those. I used elastic hair ties on my 6/4.

The rubber bands never bothered me, easy to replace if there's an issue. The dependent 5th, OTOH, is a non-starter for me.
